Reading this made me reflect on all the snow days I’ve been fortunate enough to experience, and how magical they always feel (even the muddy, chaotic ones here in the UK — maybe even especially them!) This made me feel so cheery, festive and excited for the year ahead 🥹 ps — loveee the letter idea so much, Emcee! May have to copy that one!
This is so lovely! I love the idea of writing yourself a letter, I did this before I started uni for when I finished and did the same for my Masters - it's lovely to see how your writing changes, and what you have to say! I got snow on my birthday once and that was pretty cool - snow is gorgeous but makes doing anything really inconvenient because the UK (especially the south where I've lived most of my life) really isn't built for it! I know everyone's said this but this is such a warm and wholesome series and I'm loving it!! <3
me reading this with a cup of tea and draped in the fuzziest blanket i own: 😁😁😁😁💓💓💓💓 i'm so grateful for this series and this post in particular just left me with the warmest, most joyous feeling in my heart!!! also tysm Emcee for the brilliant idea, i'm going to spend my morning writing a letter for future me heheheheh
the letter tradition is so wholesome! (and a good way to keep your life souvenirs organized: mine are all kept in a box, messier by the day)
snow is so magical! i understand the people who hate it but, as someone who saw her first snow at 16 (in my city it had not snown in more than 50 years, it was the first snow also for my parents!), and then saw it a few times only when i moved abroad, i miss it terribly. it just feels like something is missing without it. still, i might love it so much because i always had thr luxury to look at it from the warmth of my room, or going out voluntarily to play with it/or for leisure activities, all warm and bundled up.
i wish everyone could enjoy snow like that and only know the good side of it, the warm one, just as your words! 💌
aww your comment is so lovely! this is also how my souvenirs are hahaha - actually worse, different boxes and i don’t know what’s in what. i hope you get to be reunited with snow ❄️🫶
OMG i am SAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm catching up on your first three of this series and they are getting me more in the holiday spirit than truly anything else!!!!!!!!!!!!
I grew up in London and had one beautiful white Christmas in the early 2000’s when it stayed just cold enough for a smattering of snow. I haven’t thought about that in ages. Thank you.
i'm loving this series so much, it feels so magical.
