What a beautiful ode to my home city! If ever we are in Paris at the same time, it would be wholesome to show you around from a local’s pov! I love that Paris brought you and your partner together! It did the same for me! As conflictual as my opinions are on Paris, I can’t deny that this city can truly be a magical place.
gorgeously written! it's also so special to visit a city (that's not your city, at least in the living there sense) again and again. i have a similar relationship with london where i've been at different stages of life each time i've visited and consequently see it differently. honestly, i've only visited paris once and it wasn't a great trip. nearly everything that could go wrong did. but your post is further evidence i should really give it another chance
